Check out the Top Looks for Men and Women of the Lookbook for this Autumn-Winter 2016 Season by Filippa K. These collections give some great inspirations, how to dress when the leaves will start to fall down…

FILIPPA K WOMAN AW16

The Autumn Winter 2016 collection continues to explore a dna of soft minimalism, but this season does so through a lens of modern takes on Sixties references. The look is clean with interesting proportions as a focus. Layering short and boxy with long and sleek as well as slim and fitted with loose and fluid shapes. Prominent details are metal eyelets, wrap solutions, zips and patch pockets. Materials are focused on rich wools, ranging from light to dense, in twills and flat surfaces. Some materials have a very hand-made appeal, a non-dyed ecological wool quality that only comes in the natural colours of the Portuguese sheep for example. Yarns are soft and luxurious and together with this several new silks, both crinkle and washed versions are present.

New ways of using plissé materials is explored and introduces a casual set of evening wear. The color card consists of several soft and feminine beige colours such as Almondine, Dove and Nougat. Together with greys, black and a new brighter navy they form a base for the collection. Several melange versions enrich the palette and additions of strong burnt Sugar yellow and brick Red Rust enables an interesting color combination, if not preferable a monochromatic look. The result is street savvy clothing combined with sharply tailored sportswear that is overlaid with classic-contemporary menswear pieces.

FILIPPA K MAN AW16

The Autumn Winter 2016 menswear collection is created for an urban nomadic lifestyle without boundaries. “Nomads” is a confrontation of ideas; the practicality and functionality of streetwear as opposed to the precision and clarity of classic tailoring. The clear focus was to create a layered silhouette with a pure design and a reduced color palette that does not distract from the essentials. The concentration is on a dominant black combined with beige and greens as key colors, these are complemented by shades of blue and grey.
The pinnacle is a selection of five exclusive garments that were developed in collaboration with Italian brand Monobi. These styles are the perfect symbiosis of the latest material technology and manufacturing techniques along with Filippa K’s Scandinavian aesthetic.
