How To Pack The Perfect Suitcase for the Greek Islands

Summer Holidays are knocking on the door and I always have the same problem. My suitcase is too small, or I pack to many things (that I don’t need), just to be sure I’ll have the right choice for the right mood with me. Smart? Nah.

We will travel to the Greek islands this year and I actually want to take everything that looks like a Greek sandal and is white. And blue. Packing for me is usually a very ‘last-minute’ event, where my shirt is wet because I’m sweating (always a disaster), because I was not preparing right and my bed is a choas full of clothes and accessories. In the end, I took tons of clothes and things and I find myself in the shops at the holiday destination to shop all necessary, what I really need (and left at home, of course). A waste of time, stress and money. To avoid this, I said to myself that I will prepare thoughtfully in advance this year.

First of all, traveling is much easier with RIMOWA. The suitcases are robust with lots of space, it’s a good choice for frequent travelers!

It’s important to take clothes, shoes and accessories for day and night and good shoes for some walks in the city. But not too many. Think carefully. A hat is also essential, it protects you from the sun and looks beautiful and chic.

For the beach and walk in the city I take some comfortable Espandrilles by Manebi, a white top by EDITED the label, a Lancaster Sun Spray, my favorite La Mer hand cream (yes hands can also be dry in summer), a Jeans-Culotte by Current Elliot, a beach bag by Kayu, a big towel by Onia, my beige bikini and the Elixir hair drops, that takes care of your hair while it is suffering in sun and salt water.

For the sunset-walks I take a Chanel vintage bag and a little clutch by Kotur, Crystal Sandals by René Caovilla, Chloé sunglasses and a See by Chloé top. If I might forget everything around me and the time, it’s always good to check on the Komono watch…

For the night I take two dresses, one lace dress by Self-Portrait with sandals from Alba Moda (Greek style), paired with a bracelet by Riccardo Forconi and my favorite Furla Metroplis Mini Bag in black and white. The other outfit is the ‘Beline’ dress by Poupette St. Barth with blue shoes from Evita, a pretty Gucci Soho mini shoulder bag with earrings by Heine. And the best thing I always carry with me while traveling: The multi-purpose stick ‘Na Pali Coast’ from NARS in rosé-peach, ideal for an instant radiance boost – – Creamy sheer formula that blends effortlessly – Can be used on eyes, cheeks and lips – Enriched with antioxidant Vitamin E and Açai Oil.

My thoughful list for the holiday suitcase!
