WOW! Mario Testino X FURLA Fall-Winter 2016 Campaign

Milan, July 2016

It’s hard to explain our admiration for the new FURLA fall-winter 16 Camapign…

These bags are so sophisticated and fresh, a real eye-catcher!

The southern city of Lecce in Italy’s Apulia region serves as the backdrop of Furla’s new fall-winter 2016 advertising campaign, shot again by Mario Testino. Bathed in a warm orange light, the legendary photographer’s images capture all the sun-kissed beauty of the ancient city’s baroque church facades and white stone buildings.

Models Ine Neefs – who also appeared in Furla’s spring-summer campaign – and Jordan Barrett bring this Italian story to life. With their youth, bright smiles and enthusiasm, they are curious about the world and full of life, darting about Lecce’s winding streets with an exuberance that Testino captured with dynamic, modern style. Each shot radiates joy and the Italian way of life, in a true ode to beauty that is the perfect setting for presenting Furla accessories.

For the campaign, Furla opted to show its muse Neefs with a red Metropolis Bolero: this version of the brand’s iconic bag features elaborate laser embroidery and golden rivets. The campaign also features the Furla Valentina, a color-blocked bowler bag in delicate, refined shades; the Furla Stacy, a hammered calfskin bucket bag in gunmetal gray and silver; and a red pony skin version of the Furla Club, the season’s It Bag that stands out for its two straps – a thicker, sportier one for everyday use, and a slimmer one with metallic details that transitions easily to more formal occasions.

In representing the Furla man, Barrett expresses an Italian appreciation for beauty as that sweet spot where technology and creativity, seriousness and play, all meld together; he is shown carrying a bright orange pony skin Furla Giove tote bag with a handle. Also included in the campaign is the Furla Nettuno, a practical carry-all bag with handles and a strap, shown in a gray taupe shade with contrasting touches of electric blue, with a tongue-in-cheek fur charm shaped like a soccer ball.

Various other accessories, from shoes and watches to eyewear and jewelry, appear alongside the bags, putting the full range of Furla products on display.

In additional to appearing across traditional print outlets, the advertising campaign shot by Testino will be featured prominently on Furla’s website, social media and PR platforms, as well as in store windows and on videos shown in monobrand boutiques. Testino also shot Furla’s spring-summer 2016 campaign.
