MOTHER and Merci Celebrate an
All-American Moment in Paris
In the midst of Paris Fashion Week, the iconic concept store Merci became the stage for a spirited transatlantic celebration. MOTHER Denim co-founders Lela Becker and Tim Kaeding hosted an intimate evening to mark the launch of the brand’s Hail Mary collaboration, transforming the store’s renowned atrium into an unexpected All-American baseball field.

Complete with lockers and illuminated scoreboards, the immersive installation reimagined the Parisian landmark through a distinctly Californian lens. Guests stepped into the playful pop-up for a Fashion Week moment that felt both nostalgic and irreverently chic.
The evening unfolded with a sense of effortless energy. Roller girls glided through the atrium as Mei Kwok set the mood, flying in specially to bring a touch of Los Angeles nightlife to the City of Light.
Among the guests were longtime friends of the brand, including Kelly Rutherford and Poppy Delevingne, who paused for photographs while the crowd mingled beneath the glass ceiling. In keeping with the theme, guests were treated to elevated game-day classics – burgers, fries, and donuts – offering a comforting taste of Americana within the refined Parisian setting. The atmosphere captured the spirit of the collaboration itself – a dialogue between American athletic culture and Merci’s understated Parisian elegance.
The 11-piece Hail Mary capsule, which includes three limited-edition Merci totes, is available exclusively at the Merci pop-up and online at merci-merci.com and motherdenim.com.
