Henry Jacques Takes Over Le Royal Monceau in a Celebration of Scent and Art

HENRY JACQUES ARRIVES AT LE ROYAL MONCEAU

A Dialogue Between Two Icons of French Art de Vivre

Paris has its rare encounters – those unexpected crossings where two maisons of exceptional savoir-faire find themselves perfectly aligned.
This winter, such an encounter unfolds at Le Royal Monceau – Raffles Paris, where Henry Jacques, the legendary Maison de Haute Parfumerie, unveils an ephemeral universe that transforms the hotel’s lobby into a sanctuary of craftsmanship, imagination, and emotion.

From January 6 to February 2, the palace becomes a space where scent, sculpture, and hospitality merge into a singular experience – immersive, intimate, and deeply Parisian.

Two French Institutions, One Shared Spirit

Henry Jacques and Le Royal Monceau share a philosophy rooted in refinement and humanity.
Both cultivate an art of welcoming that feels personal and deliberate, elevating attention to detail into a form of generosity.

Henry Jacques imagines its boutiques as maisons – spaces where art, archives, and fragrance coexist in harmony. Visitors wander as if discovering a private world, guided by conversation and emotion rather than commercial codes.

Le Royal Monceau mirrors this approach with its own contemporary elegance. Creativity, culture, gastronomy, and design coexist naturally within its walls.
Together, the two maisons express a distinctive vision of French luxury – precise, poetic, and profoundly alive.

Folia Vitae – An Ode to Life and Craft

At the center of this collaboration stands Folia Vitae, or “Leaves of Life”, a sculptural installation conceived by Christophe Tollemer, Artistic Director of Henry Jacques, with set designer Margot Cremona.

The circular tree, 190 cm in diameter, appears almost mythical.
More than 1,000 leaves and fruits, each cast from real botanical elements, form a dense, delicate landscape around the structure. It is a celebration of slowness, of the human hand, and of the Maison’s devotion to its craft.

As guests move around the piece, perspectives shift, shadows ripple, and details reveal themselves.
It is sculpture as experience – tactile, contemplative, and quietly mesmerizing.

An Invitation to Engage the Senses

From Thursday to Saturday, between 4 pm and 8 pm, the installation becomes an olfactory journey.
Guided by expert perfumers, visitors are invited to explore Les Classiques, the House’s iconic fragrances.

Each scent reframes the sculpture, creating a dialogue between memory, matter, and imagination.

Adding to the ritual, the bar presents cocktail and mocktail pairings inspired by fragrance notes, creating a subtle and unexpected relationship between taste and smell.

For those seeking something even more personal, Henry Jacques offers its rarest experience: Sur-Mesure consultations. Conducted with the discretion of a couture fitting, these bespoke sessions can take place in the suites of Le Royal Monceau or within the Maison’s Montaigne flagship.
A bespoke fragrance becomes a portrait, crafted for one person alone.

A New Chapter in the Art of Living

By inhabiting Le Royal Monceau, Henry Jacques extends its Maison beyond its walls, offering guests the essence of its philosophy – thoughtful beauty, expressive craftsmanship, and a profound respect for time.

This collaboration is more than an installation.
It is an invitation to slow down, to observe, to breathe in the poetry of artisanal work, and to rediscover the emotional power of scent.

A fleeting moment, yes – but one that lingers long after you leave.
