Inside the Most Elegant Table in Milan: Loro Piana’s Fashion Week Dinner

Loro Piana Hosts an Elegant Dinner in Milan to Celebrate the Nomadic Reverie Collection

During Milan Fashion Week, moments of quiet elegance often stand apart from the frenzy of runways and flashing cameras. One such moment unfolded on February 27, 2026, when Loro Piana hosted an intimate dinner to celebrate its Autumn/Winter 2026–2027 collection, “Nomadic Reverie.”

The evening took place inside the magnificent Palazzo Trivulzio Brivio Sforza, a historic residence nestled in the heart of Milan – a setting whose intellectual heritage and architectural grandeur offered a fitting backdrop for a collection inspired by travel, memory, and poetic reflection.

A Palazzo Steeped in History

The celebration unfolded within the Piano Nobile of the palace, a space once home to the legendary Biblioteca Trivulziana, founded by Alessandro Teodoro Trivulzio. Among its historic treasures was the famed Codex Trivulzianus, containing drawings and writings by Leonardo da Vinci.

This connection to literature, exploration, and the written word echoed the spirit of Nomadic Reverie, a collection shaped by journeys, impressions, and fragments of memory gathered along the way.

An Atmosphere of Poetic Travel

The décor reflected this narrative beautifully.

Tables were dressed in Loro Piana linen tablecloths, emphasizing the maison’s dedication to exquisite materials. The rooms were bathed in a warm terracotta palette, blending shades of ochre, orange, soft rose, mocha, and earthy browns.

Decorative details evoked the idea of travel and discovery: wooden Mappa Mundi globes, antique books, and wooden chandeliers created a sense of timeless curiosity. Vintage brass and glass vases held lush arrangements of both fresh and dried flowers – roses, tulips, chrysanthemums, green thistles, and delicate miscanthus.

Draped fabrics added softness and texture to the historic rooms, while carefully placed fruits introduced vibrant accents reminiscent of classical still-life paintings.

The result felt less like a formal dinner and more like stepping into a living tableau of memory and exploration.

A Gathering of Cultural Voices

The guest list reflected the intellectual and artistic spirit of the evening. Among those present were writer Alessandro Baricco, pianist Gloria Campaner, fashion entrepreneurs Vera and Viola Arrivabene, author Alessandro d’Avenia, Alice Rosati, and Marta Brivio Sforza.

As the night unfolded, Scilla Ruffo di Calabria, known for her creative collaborations and artistic sensibility, provided the soundtrack for the evening with an atmospheric DJ set.

The Essence of Loro Piana

More than a celebration of a new collection, the dinner captured what has long defined Loro Piana: a philosophy rooted in quiet elegance, exceptional materials, and timeless beauty.

In a world that often celebrates spectacle, the maison continues to remind us that luxury can also be poetic, intimate, and deeply thoughtful.

And sometimes, the most memorable moments in fashion happen not on the runway, but around a beautifully set table.
