DFLY – New French Jewellery House – Ecological & Ethical

MADE IN FRANCE AND THE CHOICE OF ECOLOGICAL AND ETHICAL MATERIALS

DFLY is a jewellery brand with a contemporary design, high quality French manufacturing and ethical commitment to meet the quality and environmental requirements of our time while offering a singular, pure and comfortable design.

For this first collection, DFLY has chosen to collaborate with the renowned designer Philippe Airaud.

DFLY has chosen workshops in France for the creation of its collections to promote its ancestral know-how, which is recognised throughout the world.
A very particular requirement is brought to the quality of manufacture so that each piece is eternal. With the same rigour of quality and ethics, DFLY uses only 18K recycled gold, 950 thousandths platinum and synthetic diamonds. The latter are essentially manufactured using the CVD – Chemical Vapor Deposit method.
DFLY selects white synthetic diamonds ranging from D to H colour and purity from IF (Internally flawless) to VS (very small inclusion). Each stone over 0.30 carat is engraved with the “Lab Grown” roundel and its international laboratory certificate number – IGI, GIA (USA) or HRD (Antwerp) – for an identified and transparent market.

“Our common desire was to create timeless, sensual and minimalist lines.”

JEWELLERY since the 21st CENTURY: DISCOVERING A NEW WORLD

The name DFLY is inspired by the letter D in diamond and the dragonfly, which symbolises elegance and biodiversity.

PURE AND COMFORTABLE LINES

For this first collection, DFLY has chosen to collaborate with the renowned designer Philippe Airaud. “Our common desire was to create timeless, sensual and minimalist lines. The inspiration had to be poetic, evoking the imprint of the wind on the sand in an imaginary desert” which refers to David Bowie’s Space Oddity, imagining himself in his spaceship. to better admire our blue planet.

Named Desert Oddity (singularity), this collection plunges us into the unpredictable desert and its landscapes: the desert where blows a mysterious wind – the stars and their mythical fire – the stars and water, the origin of life.

ODDITY LINE: THE DESERT WITH A MYSTERIOUS WIND

With its iconic design, the bracelet features two oval and emerald synthetic diamonds at the ends of a sinuous rush evoking the unpredictable traces of the wind on the sand. Perfectly adjusted, the bracelet is worn like a second skin.
The Oddity ring has an open setting on the finger that reveals the skin, illuminated by two diamonds of
synthesis.
These two pieces are available in yellow, red and white gold for both him and her.

NEO JEWELLERY WITH FUTURISTIC LINES

These earrings, with their innovative wear, are especially designed for the Millenials and are available individually or in pairs.
The Oddity earring evokes the tribal jewels of the desert. This model reveals a synthetic diamond set at each end: a touch of refinement with a pure design.

Breaking with codes, the Cobra earring winds like a snake on different sides of the ear.
More discreet, but just as modern, the Dnox (with synthetic diamond) and Nox (without diamond) ear ornaments slide over the contour of the ear and can be accumulated to create an “earcuff” effect. The synthetic diamond set on the front side is visible from the front and from the side.

COLLECTION GRANDS MOMENTS: FLEXIBLE and INTEMPORARY

Timeless, the two pieces of the DFLY collection are like stars with a permanent sparkle.
The Alcione ring, whose solitaire synthetic diamond seems to be worn by two soft and full shaped rushes, is generous in its finish.on and offers a feeling of absolute comfort. Round or cushion cut, this synthetic diamond offers the choice of different weights from 0.30 to 1.20 carats. The frame is available in yellow gold, red gold or platinum.

Symbolising the couple, the Calidus ring is composed of two intertwined rings. “I was inspired by ancient jewellery and to evoke the sensuality of the intertwining of two beings”, explains designer Philippe Airaud. This ring is available in white and yellow gold.

THE CO-FOUNDERS

The two founders Christelle MICHEL and Cyril du CLUZEAU bring their complementary expertise.
Christelle MICHEL: Gemmologist (Diamond Grader at the HRD of Antwerp) is an Expert at the Court of Appeal of Versailles.
A specialist in antique jewellery, she has also developed the luxury and second-hand jewellery section of the Expertissim.com website.
Her first experience with synthetic diamonds changed her vision of the profession: “These synthetic diamonds were already used for years in the industry, gem quality has only been on the market for 3 years. It is a real technological advance, the fruit of human genius, which allows the general public to have access to a superior quality diamond with perfectly controlled prices “.

Cyril du CLUZEAU: Communication and marketing director for 15 years for the Nike brand (France, Europe, then at the head office in the USA), Cyril du Cluzeau took over the international marketing management of Le Coq Sportif before co-founding an agency of digital communication.
This entrepreneurial experience convinced him to embark on the DFLY brand concept: “During my experience, I have always been inspired by design, innovation and high-tech materials. The synthetic diamond has been a real discovery and the opportunity to develop a brand in line with my personal convictions on the environment and modernity. A jewellery more in line with the values of the 21st century”.
