MONTBLANC | MONTBLANC SUPPORTS THE CANNES LUNCHEON BENEFITTING THE TONI GARRN FOUNDATION AND AMEND
Cannes, May 19th 2023 – During the Cannes Film Festival, Montblanc lent its support to the 9th edition of the annual Cannes Luncheon co-hosted by actor and model Toni Garrn at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Cap d’Antibes. Proceeds from the event benefit both Amend’s programs to reduce the incidence of road traffic injury to children in Africa and the work of the Toni Garrn Foundation supporting girls’ education initiatives in Africa.
Guests from the worlds of film, fashion, music, art and international philanthropy came together to support the vital work both organizations to improve the lives of children in Africa, including Jon Kortajarena, Sara Sampaio, Alessandra Ambrosio and Sveva Alviti.
Guests joined Toni Garrn and Montblanc at the Terrace Isles de Lerins at the Eden-Roc for lunch followed by an auction. Among the special auction items was the Montblanc Peggy Guggenheim Limited Edition 888 Writing Instrument that pays tribute to one of the 20th century’s great philanthropists and patrons of the arts.
With its origins rooted in writing culture and with a mission to inspire people to leave their mark by realizing their potential, Montblanc has been deeply committed to supporting programs around the world that improve the lives of children through literacy education programs.
To support the occasion, the Maison donated the Montblanc Peggy Guggenheim LE 888 which was auctioned for an impressive 30,000 euro.
