In a rare celebration of heritage and modernity, Loro Piana unveils an immersive installation at Bergdorf Goodman, transforming New York’s most iconic department store into a living canvas of texture, light, and timeless style.
This is more than an exhibition – it is a dialogue between two worlds: the serene ateliers of Northern Italy and the electric spirit of Manhattan. Through its dreamlike windows, Loro Piana translates its century-long devotion to excellence into a language of artistry and restraint, where every thread tells a story of patience and perfection.
Inside the legendary Bergdorf windows, scenes unfold like a series of poetic tableaux. Masters of Fibers traces the journey of pure cashmere from distant plateaus to the looms of Quarona. Baby Cashmere appears as a constellation of weightless clouds, while golden thistles – the fiore di cardo that has crowned the Maison’s crest since 1951 – bloom as symbols of craftsmanship and continuity.
One vignette frames the New York skyline in Loro Piana’s signature Kummel hue, where artisans delicately examine falling fabrics under magnifying lenses – a gesture of devotion to beauty in its purest form.
For men, miniature vintage cars race across the iconic Suitcase Stripe motif, while a wooden loom quietly weaves the Maison’s guiding creed into fabric: “Luxury is inextricably linked to quality.”
In the spirit of this union between Italy and New York, Loro Piana introduces exclusive designs created especially for Bergdorf Goodman. A softly structured wool overshirt in warm rust tones captures relaxed masculine elegance, while a women’s cashmere ensemble in soft grey, paired with a playful animal-print hat, reflects a sensual ease that is both modern and timeless.
Guests are also invited to experience the Maison’s hallmark of intimacy and refinement – personalization. Under the expert hands of Loro Piana’s artisans, the Grande Unita scarf and Unito plaid can be monogrammed with initials, making each piece a keepsake of understated luxury.
