The Power of Less: COS Returns to New York

The Power of Less: COS Returns to New York

By WHAT WE ADORE Magazine

In an industry obsessed with the next big thing, COS continues to prove that restraint is fashion’s boldest statement.

For Autumn/Winter 2026, the London label returns to New York Fashion Week with a collection that strips luxury back to its essence. Sharp tailoring. Rich textures. Impeccable proportions. Nothing more, nothing less.

Photographed by Mark Kean across New York, the campaign stars Park Gyuyoung and Awar Odhiang, whose quiet presence perfectly reflects the collection’s understated confidence. Black and white dominate, interrupted by deep violet accents, while cashmere, leather, wool and suede replace embellishment with substance.

This is not minimalism for minimalism’s sake.

It is clothing designed to outlive trends. Double-breasted coats, sculptural outerwear, fluid tailoring and perfectly cut shirting create a wardrobe that feels permanent rather than seasonal – pieces that ask not to be noticed, but remembered.

As COS returns to the New York runway this September, it reminds us of something fashion often forgets: true luxury is not about excess.

It’s about precision.
