Reaffirming its commitment to excellence in sport and celebrating its sailing heritage, Loro Piana is delighted to announce that the Maison will be the official Title Sponsor of the 71st edition of the Giraglia Regatta, a legendary race that has become one of the most important in top-level Mediterranean sailing. Organized by the Yacht Club Italiano with the support of the Société Nautique de Saint-Tropez, the Loro Piana Giraglia 2024 is to be held from June 7th to June 15th.
Sponsoring the regatta marks an exciting new chapter for the competition and for Loro Piana, reaffirming the Maison’s position as a purveyor of exquisite craftsmanship, timeless style, and incomparable luxury in the field of sports. It is a significant moment that echoes the House’s values of tradition, fair play and excellent performance.

This year, Pier Luigi Loro Piana, Deputy Chairman of the Maison, with crew will participate in the Giraglia Regatta aboard his boat My Song: The Loro Piana family passion for sailing has always been important, it is part of the House’s DNA and aligns with the Maison’s ethos, continually striving to create elegant and versatile garments that seamlessly transition from sea to city life.
The Loro Piana Giraglia 2024 will start with four days of coastal races along the beautiful shores of Saint-Tropez, to be held from June 8th to June 11th. The main event will be celebrated on June 12th with the exciting offshore sailing race from Saint-Tropez to Genoa via the Giraglia island in Northern Corsica, a voyage of 241 nautical miles.

About the Giraglia Regatta
First held in 1953, this sailing race links Saint-Tropez to Genoa via the Giraglia island in northern Corsica. Over 200 boats, including 30-meter yachts and Maxis, take part in each edition. Organized by the Yacht Club Italiano
with the support of the Société Nautique de Saint-Tropez, the race encompasses inshore races in St. Tropez Bay followed by the arrival near by the Giraglia island, concluding in Genoa, Italy, and covering a total distance of 241 nautical miles (450 km). Today, the Giraglia has become a prestigious event that attracts hundreds of crews, both amateur and professional, and boats from all around the world.
