Monitillo Unveils the Next Chapter of Tecton with Architect Félix Millory

Italian stone specialist Monitillo 1980 expands its acclaimed Tecton Collection, once again joining forces with French architect and designer Félix Millory to redefine the role of marble in contemporary interiors. Rather than treating natural stone as a decorative finish, the new collection positions it as an architectural medium – one capable of shaping space, light and emotion.

At the heart of the collection lies a striking violet Calacatta marble, whose expressive veining transforms every object into a one-of-a-kind composition. Millory’s design language embraces the material’s natural character, allowing its density, texture and geological history to dictate form instead of concealing it. The result is a series of sculptural bathroom pieces that blur the boundaries between furniture, architecture and collectible design.

The freestanding bathtub, conceived as a monolithic volume, challenges perceptions of weight through an ingenious play of proportions that creates an unexpected sense of visual lightness. Washbasins follow the same philosophy, celebrating the raw beauty of marble through pure, timeless geometries that reveal the individuality of every slab.

The collection also expands into architectural surfaces with Scultura and Segni, two new wall and floor concepts that elevate craftsmanship into an artistic expression. While Scultura explores depth through sculpted reliefs that interact with light and shadow, Segni celebrates the beauty of imperfection with hand-crafted incisions that leave every panel uniquely marked by the artisan’s gesture.

With Tecton, Monitillo confirms its position at the forefront of contemporary stone design. The collaboration with Félix Millory demonstrates that marble is no longer merely a luxurious material – it is architecture in its purest form, shaped by nature and perfected through exceptional Italian craftsmanship.
