SWAROVSKI: INTERNATIONAL TALENT SUPPORT 2016

SWAROVSKI AWARD WINNER ANNOUNCED

The 15th edition of International Talent Support, the ground-breaking competition open to international design students, drew to a close on July 16, 2016, with the grand finale held in Trieste, Italy.

Swarovski, continuing its sponsorship of the Swarovski Award, proudly joined in the celebration of the finalists’ creativity and indeed of all the young design participants who contributed to the success of this year’s competition.

Location

A glittering Vernissage and Fashion Show was part of the celebrations for this year’s attendees, reflecting the edition’s special focus on ‘The 15th Utopia’ and its component themes of culture, empathy, life, communion, and community.

The climax of the event, the awards ceremony, saw the most talented students representing the four areas of ITS FASHION, ITS ACCESSORIES, ITS JEWELRY, and ITS ARTWORK acknowledged for their achievements.

Winner of the coveted Swarovski Award was Tatiana Lobanova, who received the associated cash prize valued at €10,000.

In addition to Ms. Schumacher, the esteemed jury judging the Swarovski Award included Harry Eisenberger, Head of Jewelry Design at Swarovski Professional; Vivienne Becker, Jewelry Historian and designer; Iris van Herpen, Fashion Designer; and Kim Young-Seong, Head of Fabrics at Chanel.

The company recognizes the unique platform is an unqualified success for creative excellence and is pleased to have been a regular contributor to that success.

The impressive record of accomplishments achieved over the last 15 years speaks for itself: applicants from 1,500 schools in over 80 countries, a Creative Archive with over 15,000 portfolios, 210 outfits, 110 accessories, 70 jewelry pieces, and more than 700 digital photography projects.

Most importantly, ITS can be proud of the 520 finalists from 56 countries who have become part of the most renowned brands in the industry. Swarovski salutes them and looks forward to the intriguing potential for future creative collaborations with the design stars of tomorrow.
