THE FASHION AWARDS 2018 – SWAROVSKI CELEBRATES THE GLOBAL FASHION COMMUNITY AS OFFICIAL PARTNER SPONSOR

London, December 11, 2018 – Swarovski continued its support and celebration of the global fashion community as Official Partner Sponsor of The Fashion Awards 2018 at the Royal Albert Hall in London.

Guests were welcomed on the red carpet by Prologue, an installation by Fredrikson Stallard featuring over 8,000 gold- and topaz-colored Swarovski crystals which radiated from the top of the staircase at the Royal Albert Hall.

The global guest list included actress and Atelier Swarovski designer Penélope Cruz, Naomi Watts, HRH Duchess of Sussex, Brooke Shields, Cindy Crawford, David and Victoria Beckham, Kendall Jenner, Jerry Hall, Jourdan Dunn, Kaia Gerber, Karen Elson, Kate Moss, Lana Del Rey, Mert & Marcus Rita Ora, Rosamund Pike and Uma Thurman.

Eva Herzigova hosted the Swarovski red carpet at the Fashion Awards 2018. The model and fashion icon wore Atelier Swarovski to present the Livestream with media partner YouTube.com.

Winners on the evening were presented with handcrafted Swarovski crystal trophies designed by renowned architect Sir David Adjaye OBE. Recipients included Richard Quinn who won British Emerging Talent Womenswear, while photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott were presented with the Isabella Blow Award by Penélope Cruz, who appears in the new Atelier Swarovski Holiday campaign shot by the duo.

In addition, Dame Vivienne Westwood OBE, was honored with the Swarovski Award for Positive Change for her incredible contribution to the fashion industry and her continued work to promote and engage with the industry positively in making a global change for the benefit of the environment. Launched in 2017, the award recognizes and celebrates individuals who have made a positive impact on society, the environment or both, and forms part of Swarovski’s efforts to promote a more sustainable future for us all.

Other highlights from the evening included a performance by Ellie Goulding and a moving tribute celebrating Judy Blame and Michael Howells, who passed away this year.
